Memorial Service for Thelma Ruth Fields Miller, Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM, at the Vici Chamber of Commerce Community Building. Her remains will be interred in Vassar Cemetery after the service, in a private service.
Thelma passed away Wednesday morning, February 22, 2023 at her home in Orifino, Idaho from complications associated with her cancer. She was born on November 21, 1938, to Russel and Frances Fields, both deceased, in Vici, Oklahoma, and although she has lived in many places, has always considered. Vici her home.
She is survived by 5 of her children, Robert Moss, Edward Moss, Ruth Miller, James Miller and Robin Miller, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
After Thelma graduated from high school, she joined the Woman's Army Corps. She served in Virginia and Germany and received an honorable discharge after 3 years.
While raising her children, she held various jobs and lived in several states including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, Oklahoma, Oregon and Idaho. While living in Vici, she worked at the Vici Nursing Home and Dixie’s Diner. Thelma loved reading, especially mystery novels.
