Gertrud “Trudi” Alder Briix, 84 year old from Vici, OK passed from this life on September 9, 2015 at the Vici Nursing Home. Trudi was born on July 12, 1931 in Oberuzwil, Switzerland to Johannes and Bertha (Anderegg) Alder. Trudi was raised in Zurich and attended Oberuzwil schools.
On July 25, 1965 Trudi married Neil Briix in Zurich. They lived in Saudi Arabia, Holland, Spain, Yugosalvia, and Switzerland before moving to the United States. Trudi was a wonderful housewife. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching birds and animals and was always taking long walks. Trudi and Neil had a wonderful life together. Trudi was a Protestant being Christened as a child.
Relatives preceding Trudi in death were her parents, Johannes and Bertha Alder and her sister Margaret Aemisegger.
Survivors include, husband Neil Briix of the farm north of Vici, OK; sister-in-law, Linda Brown and husband C.B. of Guthrie, OK; nieces, Susanne Aemisegger, Katharina Flury and husband Peter, Sylvia Mettler, Marilyn Welty and husband Tom, Karin Tieaskie and husband Ron and Kimber Bohard and husband Justin; one nephew, Christian Aemisegger and wife Cheryl; other family, longtime special friend Rolanda Bucher, and a host of friends.
