Sharon Elizabeth (Kupka) Thacker was born June 1, 1955 at Elk City, OK. She was the daughter of Leo William Kupka and Mary Evelyn (Neece) Kupka. She passed from this life at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 7 days on January 8, 2021 at Lubbock, TX. Sharon began her school years at Canute, OK. until the 5th grade and completed her education at Leedey Public Schools.
At the age of 25, Sharon was united in marriage to Daniel Lee Thacker on November 2, 1980 at Elk City, OK. where she resided. They established their home in Leedey, OK. and were blessed to raise their daughter, Dixie Marie. They returned to live in Elk City in 1986.
Sharon’s primary focus was being a homemaker, wife and mother. Her special interests and hobbies included sewing, crocheting and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mary Kupka, an infant son, Joseph Thacker and an infant daughter, Holley Thacker, her grandparents and a brother in law, Bill Reece.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Daniel of their home in Elk City, OK., daughter, son in law and grandchildren, Dixie and Joey Barker, Jasey and Jeremiah of Elk City, OK., three sisters, Karen Cook, Melanie Reece and Lori Kupka all of Elk City, OK. several nieces, nephews, aunts, other relatives and friends.
