Leone Dell (Davis) Thompson, daughter of Jess and Esther M. (Waggoner) Davis was born near Mulhull, Oklahoma on February 16, 1911 and passed from this life in Vici, Oklahoma on April 15, 2014 at the age of 103. Leone was raised in Covington, Oklahoma attending Covington Grade School. Then moved to the farm west of Vici, Oklahoma her freshman year. She graduated from Vici High School with the class of 1930, then attended Northwestern State Teachers College. She graduated college with a Bachelor of Science degree.
On December 1, 1937 Leone married Orville H. Thompson and they moved to their farm south of Mutual, Oklahoma. Three children were born to this union: JC, Rex and Glenn Dale. Leone taught school 3 years at Pleasant Valley in Ellis County. She retired in 1972 after teaching 18 years at MacArther Elementary School in Wichita, Kansas. She then moved to Vici and made her home until her death.
Leone was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Vici. She was a student of the gospel and of history. Leone enjoyed gardening and was good at it. She was always there for anyone in the Community that had suffered a loss and would provide food or whatever she could do for them. In later years she loved to travel and took a number of bus trips. Leone was preceded in death by husband Orville, son JC, parents Jess and Esther, brother Elmer Lee Davis, sister Erma May Castor and grandson Gregg Thompson. She is survived by sons Rex Thompson and Family; and Glenn Dale and family; daughter-in-law Delores Thompson; great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends. see website calendar for service information.

Services will be at the First United Methodist Church, Vici, Oklahoma with interment following in Vassar Cemetery, Vici, Oklahoma.
