Linda Colleen Sills Rhodes was the first-born child of Earnest "Gene" and Georgia (Sander) Sills. She was born on January 18, 1947 and went home to be with Jesus on December 23, 2016.

Linda spent her early childhood days in Seiling, and later moved with her family to Woodward, where she graduated Woodward High School in 1965. At the age of 19, Linda was in a tragic car accident that caused her to lose both her legs, but this didn't set her back for long. She later married William "Bill" Mobley, and lived many years in Odessa, Texas, where she worked several businesses that included making ceramics and her own catering business.

After losing her husband, "Bill", she met Leroy “Dusty” Rhodes and they soon married and moved to Seiling, where they have made their home for over 25 years. During their marriage, they adopted their beautiful daughter, Charity Ann Rhodes. She was the joy of Linda's life.

Linda's life included much adversity, but she always seemed to keep a positive attitude and a whole lot of fight. She loved her family and her dogs, and would have done anything for any of them. She is known for her continuous smile and how she loved laughing.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, brother Carl “Ray” Sills, and spouse, William "Bill" Mobley, along with her maternal and paternal grandparents. Linda is survived by her husband, Leroy “Dusty” Rhodes, daughter, Charity Rhodes, and siblings, Jeannie Rinker and husband, Charles Rinker, Irvin Sills and wife, Minoma Sills, both of Seiling, Katrina Hinshaw of Kansas, and Vonda Sills of Texas, as well as other family and friends.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) or Brumfield Cemetery c/o Redinger Funeral Home, Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663.
