Woodward, Okla. — Floyd Randall, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather went home to be with the Lord December 26, 2013 at the age of 98.
Floyd was born on May 15, 1915 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to David and Luvena Crownover Randall. His family moved to Oklahoma living in the Coweta, Muskogee, Fort Cobb, and Webb areas before settling in Vici. He married Lennie Lora Bridges on March 7, 1934. They resided in Webb, Oklahoma until 1936 when they moved to Vici.
Floyd farmed in the Vici area, was the first librarian in Dewey County, served as the electrician on numerous building projects in the area and owned Floyd’s Radio & TV. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge receiving the 50-Year Award from the Masonic Grand Lodge of Oklahoma. He, along with Lennie, helped to build churches across Oklahoma and the United States through the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma Campers on Mission program. Floyd was also inducted into the Dewey County Historical Society Hall of Fame. More than anything, he loved his time with family, his involvement in church at First Baptist- Vici and serving others in the community. He was a committed Christian who lived out his faith helping neighbors, friends and family with compassion and a servant heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Johnny David Randall, his wife Lennie, and brothers and sisters, Lloyd Randall, Harvey Randall, Ruby Sparkman, Frank Randall, Stella Liston, Laura Mae Nelson and son-in-law Keith Wingo and daughter-in-law Belle Randall.
He is survived by his children Floyd Dean Randall, Coral Jean Randall, Lora Wingo, Elwin Randall, and Edythe Randall, as well as eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 29, 2013 in the First Baptist Church, Vici, Oklahoma with burial following in Sunnyside Cemetery. Services arranged by Shaw Funeral Home, Vici, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family at shawfuneralhome.net.
