Woodward, Okla. — Richard Vernon Lee passed from this life on July 16, 2011 at the age of 57. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 5, 1953 to Emery and Jean (Beck) Lee.

Richard attended Sooner Grade School in Oklahoma City and completed his high school education at Woodward High School graduating with the Class of 1972.

Richard was united in marriage to Cindy Jackson and they welcomed the birth of their son, Joshua Vernon.

Richard worked as a driller in the oilfield for many years.

Richard was later united in marriage to Debbie Worden and became a loving step-father to Brandon, Jessica and Jason.

Richard enjoyed spending his free time doing most anything outdoors but especially, boating, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV.

Richard was preceded in death his father, Emery Vernon Lee, mother, Faughnetta Jean Davis, and step-father, Arthur Don Davis.

Survivors include his son, Joshua Lee Richey, step-children, Brandon Worden and wife Shannon of Yukon, OK, Jessica English of Woodward, OK and Jason Worden of Yukon, OK; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Worden, Sierra Worden and Zachary Worden of Woodward, OK; step-sisters, Leola Jean Horn of Chickasha, OK, Becky Peebles and husband Tony of Fargo, OK, Linda Linebough of Colorado Springs, CO, Sharon Prettyman of Placerville, CA and Connie Chaney of Cement, OK; niece, Brandi Peebles, other family and many friends.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in the Shaw Memorial Chapel, Vici, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family at shawfuneralhome.net.
