Interment: Thursday, November 7th, 2013 - Vassar Cemetery

Alice Kidd, 85 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, November 4, 2013 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Lincoln Campus with Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Interment will be in the Vassar Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Alice Venita (McKee) Lookingbill Kidd was born on January 29, 1928 in Mosquero, New Mexico to Oscar Charles and Sally Melvina (King) McKee. Alice grew up in Mosquero, Hayden, and Amistad, New Mexico and attended school in Walters, Oklahoma. On February 28, 1946, Alice was united in marriage to Blake Lookingbill in Clayton, New Mexico. They resided in the Thomas Community in New Mexico were they were blessed with four children. Blake and Alice moved to Oklahoma in 1971.

Alice and Blake farmed and owned the Hi-Ho Café and Hotel in Clayton, New Mexico. Alice also worked at the Union Underwear Factory and Wal-Mart in Woodward. Blake preceded her in death in 1988.

On June 16, 2000 Alice was united in marriage to Robert Kidd in Vici, Oklahoma. They made their home in Woodward and she has lived here since that time.

Alice belonged to the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Woodward. She enjoyed spending time with her family, making jewelry, sewing quilts, and collecting Christmas villages. She will be missed greatly by her family.

She is survived by her husband Bob Kidd of the home; two sons, Charles Lookingbill and wife Teresa of Vici; Wayne Lookingbill of Mooreland; two daughters, Beverly Drake of Vici, Sherri Herriman and husband Wayne of Vici; two step-sons, Jimmy Kidd of Woodward; Robert Kidd Jr. of Woodward; four step-daughters, Shirley Clay and husband Howard of Watonga; Diana Kidd of Eric; Louise Haws of Woodward; Kendra Westphalen and husband Matt of Edmond; two brothers Grady McKee andwife Carol of Amarillo, Texas; Freddy McKee and wife Gail of Amarillo, Texas; one sister Pauline Shoffner and husband Otis of Amarillo, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 23 step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Blake Lookingbill, five brothers, two sisters, and three grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
