Vera Pauline Huddleston of Vici, Oklahoma passed away on March 30, 2016. She was 78 years of age. Vera was born on August 17, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to W.A. and Cordelia "Curtis" Lewis. Vera's grade school days were spent in Midwest City, Oklahoma and high school was in Brawly, California.

On January 3, 1958 Vera married Edwin Huddleston in Fowler, Colorado. The couple was blessed with four children: Brian, Kelly, Melody and Alan. The family lived in Pueblo, Colorado, Imperial, California, La Junta, Colorado, and Shattuck, Oklahoma before returning to Vici, Oklahoma in 2000.

Vera was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Midwest City as a teenager. She was a member and attended the Richmond Community Church. Vera loved singing and helping with dinners at Church. She loved painting, gardening and was a member of Women's Aglow. Vera was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She helped and nurtured family, friends, and community members.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents W.A. and Cordelia Lewis; brother, James Lewis; and sisters, Jackie Lane, Jessie Sullivan, and Helen Lidey.

She is survived by husband Edwin Huddleston of Vici, Oklahoma; sons, Brian Huddleston of Imperial, California, Kelly Huddleston of La Junta, Colorado, and Alan Huddleston and wife Laura of Austin, Texas; and daughter Melody Huddleston of Vici, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and a host of friends.

She walks with Jesus, but will be deeply missed.
