Woodward, Okla. — Theodore Nathaniel Harvey passed from this life on March 11, 2014. Ted was born to Charlie Ross Harvey and Octavia Eileen Looney on June 19, 1938 in Oregon City, Oregon. After Ted was born the family made their home in the Slapout and Laverne, OK area until he was about 12 years old. They then moved to Riverview, OK until he was 19. Ted attended school Vici and then Camargo where he graduated with the class of 1957.
Ted married Lilly Joan Westenhaver on June 21, 1959 in Clayton, NM. Two children blessed this marriage; Micki Joann Bull and Teddy Wayne Harvey. The family lived in Beaver, OK until 1960 when they moved back to Camargo, OK. They then moved to Woodward, OK in 1961. Ted called Woodward home for the next 53 years.
Ted worked in the Oilfield most of his life. His retired from the oilfield as a pipeyard foreman. Ted served in the Army Reserve from 1957-1964 earning the rank of Private First Class. Ted enjoyed watching Nascar Racing and reading western books. Ted also enjoyed being outside with his metal detector looking for whatever unique objects he could find. Ted also had a fond interest for some of the finer things in life, one of those being the cinnamon rolls at Pollyanna Café.
Those preceding Ted in death were his parents. Daughter Micki Joann and Son Teddy Wayne. Grandparents Earl and Zella Harvery and John and Viola Looney. Father-in-law and Mother-in-law George and Verdie Westenhaver and brother Francis Harvey.
Those left to remember Ted are his wife of the home Jody Harvey. Brothers Rex Harvey of Bloomfield, NM and Roger Harvey of Branford, FL. 2 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Private Graveside services were held Wednesday March 12, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Sunnyside Cemetery, Vici, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family at shawfuneralhome.net. Shaw Funeral Home of Vici.
