Woodward, Okla. — Alma Jean Davis, age 78, of Fort Supply, OK formally from Vici, OK, went to be with The Lord on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 6:23 p.m. surrounded by family and friends. She was born to the late Ed and Gracie Hurt on July 11, 1935. She grew up with two sisters and seven brothers. She wed the late Gene Dale Davis on November 24, 1952 in Mangum, OK. Together they had five children and spent the majority of their time traveling to various jobs through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. Alma Jean enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts, playing games, cooking, and quality family time.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband of 32 years; her sister, Reba Thronesberry; five brothers, Roy Lee, Dallas, Thomas, Hubert, and Darwin Hurt; and two granddaughters, Bobbie and Krisi Davis. She is survived by her sister, Maxine Gilbert; seven sisters-in-law, Alveeta Nance, Winnie Gay Davis, Dora Mae, Ann, Judie, Betty Jean, and Linda Hurt; and one brother-in-law, Monroe Davis; three brothers, Eugene, Bobby, and James Hurt; her five children and their spouses: Marvin and Bernice Davis of Amarillo, TX; Allen and Paula Davis of Altus, OK; Cecil and Lorinda Davis of Lubbock, TX; Sandra and Don Peterson of Fort Supply, OK; Ronald and Sandra May Davis of Coos Bay, OR. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and their spouses, 26 great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday December 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, Vici, OK with interment following in Sunnyside Cemetery, Vici, OK. Condolences may be made to the family at shawfuneralhome.net. Shaw Funeral Home of Vici.
