Jesse LeRoy Christian, 64 year old resident of Woodward, OK, passed from this life on June 28, 2019 in Vici. Jesse was born August 27, 1954 to Jesse LeRoy Jr. and Avis Nadine Bowman. Jesse’s mom was a schoolteacher that traveled and taught on the Indian Reservations in Oklahoma and Kansas. He grew up and attended school on the reservations.

On January 7, 1992, Jesse married Audrey Russell-Murch in Mutual, OK. They made their homes in Vici, Henryetta, OK, Enid, OK, Tulare and Goshen, CA and Hamilton, NJ and finally returning to Woodward. Jesse worked for Dewey County, the Town of Vici. He was a welder and auto mechanic.

Jesse enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Vici Lion’s Club. Jesse was baptized and a member of the Church of the Nazarene and he loved to participate in the church camps.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents Jesse Christian, Avis Nadine Christian Knox, stepdad Andy Knox, sister Kelley Beth Wyatt and her husband Wade Wyatt, infant granddaughter Nicole Bucher and infant grandson William (Billy) Ward.

He is survived by his wife of the home Audrey Christian; five children Jesse Leon Christian of Texas, Susan Ward and husband Bill of Sacramento, CA, Annette Bucher and husband Bryan of Woodward, OK, Rick and Carol Murch of Vici, OK, and Kenneth Murch of Vici, OK; sister Delorus Christian Gray of Ripley, OK and brother William Christian of Ripley, OK; stepmother Carol Christian of Ripley, OK; aunt Darline Epping; uncle Leon Bowman; 28 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; eight nieces, five nephews, numerous extended family and a host of friends.
