Services will be Sunday September 20, 2015 at 2:30 pm at the Jerald Shaw Auditorium, Vici High School, Vici, Oklahoma with burial at Sunnyside Cemetery, Vici, Oklahoma.

Phillip Frank Castor, 64 year old Vici, OK resident, passed from this life on September 17, 2015, at his home. Frank was born on December 16, 1950 to Willis (Bill) Claude Castor, Sr. and Velma (Tiny) Jean (Salisbury) Castor, in Mooreland, Oklahoma. Frank attended school at Camargo in the first grade, then completed his grade school and high school graduating from Mutual High School in 1969. Frank excelled in basketball and baseball while in school. He worked for area farmers as a young man and after high school worked for his Great Uncle Roy Wreath, whom he thought the world of. Frank worked for Mini-Max Grocery and United Grocery as a butcher. Charlotte also worked for United Grocery. Frank then met Charlotte Castor and Married her on December 8, 1969. Frank went to work for the City of Woodward water department for a while before working for Paul Huffman on a ranch east of Mooreland, OK. Frank then went to work for Paul Wreath and partnered with him on cattle and crops. Frank then moved to the Vici area and farmed and ranched while being a contract welder, building drilling rigs for JD Hodges and his brother Willis Castor, Jr. He also did welding for other companies. Frank worked for Woodward County for several years while farming and ranching. Frank loved raising cattle and putting up hay for them. He farmed but liked the cattle a lot more than farming. Frank also liked to hunt and fish, especially quail hunting and always had a good bird dog. Frank liked to meet with his friends and buddies at the quick stop in Vici for coffee and tell stories. He had so many great friends that will miss him. Everyone that met Frank liked him.

Frank and Charlotte were married seventeen years before having a daughter, Billie Lynn Castor. Billie was the twinkle in Frank’s eye. He admired her so much and his pride showed every time she was mentioned or came around, he was so proud of her. Billie married Brett Coldwater after graduating college and they had two children, Baylor and Barrett. Those grandchildren were what Frank was wanting to complete his family. Proud did not touch how he felt about them. You could see the love he had for them and Billie’s family. Frank was close to the rest of his family and treated his nieces and nephews like they were his own family. Frank became ill earlier this year and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, along with his diabetes, then his heart became weak. Frank fought a good battle. He was tough and stubborn, and had always said he wanted to die at home out in a pasture with his cows. He is with the rest of the angels looking down on his family. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Preceding Frank in death were his parents Bill and Tiny Castor, in-laws Leon and Marilla Castor, and several cousins, uncles and aunts.

Those left behind to mourn his passing are his wife of the home, Charlotte, daughter Billie Coldwater and her husband Brett, their two children Baylor and Barrett Coldwater of Vici, Oklahoma. Two brothers, Willis Claude Castor, Jr. and wife Annett of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Joe Castor and wife Loretta of Woodward, Oklahoma, brother-in-law Kenny Castor and wife Bonnie of Woodward, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
