Kent Terrel
December 29, 1940 ~ October 08, 2020

Kent Terrel was born on December 29, 1940, to Lenn and Reka Terrel and departed his earthly life on October 8, 2020. He was born and raised in Cestos, Oklahoma. Kent attended Richmond School and Seiling High School, where he graduated in 1959. He attended Panhandle State University as well as Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Kent married Cathy (Davidson) Terrel on January 30th, 1964. Kent and Cathy settled in Cestos, where they raised three children. Kent was a cattle and wheat farmer and a talented carpenter. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Seiling where he served as an elder for many years. He dressed as Santa Claus for friends and family every Christmas. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, sports, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Kent was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lennet Bledsoe and Cara Charboneau, and brothers-in-law Don Bledsoe and Roger Charboneau. Surviving are his wife Cathy; son Rocky Terrel and wife Cindy, daughter Christy Cheek, son Brett Terrel and wife Sheila; six grandchildren, Jared Cheek, Shurae Bensch and husband Brandon, Shelby Sipari and husband Reima, Megan Sellers and husband Allen, Tricia Wardin and husband Christopher, Katie Horn and husband Buster; as well as four great grandchildren, Brennon Case, Laityn Bensch, Jayden Bensch, and Braelyn Horn; two sisters, Gena Christensen and husband Tom, Anita Branstetter and husband Ron, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church in Seiling. Burial will follow at Riley Cemetery.
