Wesley Edward Blumer

Wesley Edward Blumer
August 22, 1960 ~ April 22, 2020

Wesley Edward Blumer, was born August 22, 1960 at Seiling, OK and passed from this life at his home near Cestos, OK on April 22, 2020 at the age of 59 years. He was one of five children born to John Samuel and Wilma Dorene (Grothe) Blumer. Wesley grew up in the Seiling community and attended Seiling Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1978. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University at Sayre, OK and obtained his Associates degree as a medical technician. On July 11, 1981, at Crystal Beach Park in Woodward, OK, Wesley was united in marriage to Sally LuAnne Hoyt and they established a home in the Seiling and Cestos area. Two children, John Wesley and Mikayla Jo blessed their home.

Wesley was employed as a lab technician at the hospital in Weatherford, OK. He had a fondness for ranching and the country lifestyle where squirrel hunting was a favorite past time. He enjoyed spending time with his family and collecting and trading pocket knives with his grandkids was a special hobby. Wesley was a member of the Richmond Community Church. He served as a Sunday school teacher for many years at Restoration Church and was an avid supporter of missions.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorene Blumer. His memory will be forever cherished by his wife Sally, his son John Blumer and daughter in law Heather of Seiling, OK and their children, Hayden, Deklan, Kendall and Josie. His daughter, Mikayla Tynes and son in law Shawn of Jones, OK and their children, Noah and Isaac. His three sisters, Elaine Blumer, Shara Von Feuerborn and husband Randy, Carla Dawn How and husband Ken and one brother, Lee Blumer and wife Rita, other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Riley Cemetery in Cestos, OK.

Memorial Donations in Wesley’s honor may be made to the Link to Hope Orphanage and sent to Redinger Funeral Home (Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663) who will serve as custodian of the funds.
