Funeral services for Arthur Alton were held at 2pm Tuesday in the First Methodist Church of Seiling, with the Rev Don Hull officiating. Burial was in the Riley Cemetery in Vici with Shaw Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

He was born on May 14, 1877, in Amnity, Iowa and moved to Dewey County, Okla., in 1897. In 1905 , he married Nellie Grace Marrison of Woodward County.

Arthur is survived by four daughters, Gladys Mitchell and Hazel Horner of Norman, Bessie Reed, Black Canyon City of Ariz., and Opal Roy of Phoenix; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
