Delbert Wayne Gamble
August 30, 1936 ~ March 25, 2020

Delbert Wayne Gamble, son of Debbs Warren Eugene and Ruby Viola (Woodall) Gamble, was born August 30, 1936 at Rhea, OK. He entered his heavenly home on March 25, 2020 at Bell Avenue Nursing Home in Elk City, OK. at the age of 83. His family lived for a time in Marysville and Lodi, CA. before returning to a farm southwest of Leedey, OK. Delbert attended school at Three Corner School near the community of Red Star. In 1947 at age 11, he was baptized and became a member of the Red Star Brethren in Christ Church. A special part of his life was his faith and the fellowship of a church family.

On May 17, 1975 Delbert was united in marriage to Linda Fay Moreland in Portsmouth, VA. where they made their first home. In 1977, they resided in Woodward, OK. before returning to Leedey in 1981. In 1998 they moved to their residence in Elk City, OK.

Delbert was employed as a mechanic for Dewey Co. and his special interest included the lawn mower shop. He enjoyed family gatherings and time spent with his grandkids.

His memory is cherished by his wife, Linda Gamble, children, Chad Gamble, Gene Gamble, Bobby Gamble, Mike Gamble, Eric Conner, Sherry Landrum and husband Guy Landrum and Mark Conner. His brother Kenneth Gamble and wife Deanna and his sister Wanda Holley. Nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Debbs and Ruby Gamble, his son Greg Gamble, his sister Jolene Currier and his brother in laws, Ernest Currier and L.R. Holley.
