Michael “Mickey” William Price, of Leedey, Oklahoma, passed from this life on September 17, 2014 at the age of 66. He was born to Orvil “Smokey” and Dorothy Joan (Trigg) Price on December 16, 1947. He attended grade school at Liberty Center School in Roger Mills County and graduated from Leedey High School. While in school he loved to play basketball and baseball for Leedey. On June 4, 1966 Mickey married Sandy Williams at the First Baptist Church in Leedey, Oklahoma. To their union, two sons were born: Max Price and Darren Wayne Price. They lived in Woodward, Oklahoma until 1989. Mickey moved to Checotah, Oklahoma until 2007, and then he moved back to Leedey and worked in the oilfield construction as a truck driver.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all loved to drive his truck. Mickey was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leedey.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Orvil “Smokey” and Dorothy Joan Price; one sister Betty Lee. Mickey is survived by sons Max Price of Woodward, Oklahoma and Darren Price and wife Kim of Woodward, Oklahoma; one brother Wayne Price of Woodward, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren Kristyn Price of Woodward, Oklahoma, Kendra Price of Fargo, Oklahoma, Stephanie Haddock of Woodward, Oklahoma, Kelsey Price of Fargo, Oklahoma, Hailey Price of Woodward, Oklahoma, Jacob Price of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Aaron Price of Woodward, Oklahoma; one great-grandson to be born in January; other family and host of friends. Mickey Price -- 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Leedey, Oklahoma with interment following at New Hermon Cemetery, Leedey, Oklahoma.
