Lynn Sanderson was born during a blizzard on March 29, 1938 to Lonie and Zona Sanderson in Canton, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of three children. His family moved to the farm west of Canton shortly after his birth. He attended Canton Schools and was a graduate of the Canton High School class of 1956. After graduation he attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. His father’s death in 1957 caused him to return home to manage the family farm. Lynn operated the family farm and worked at USG as a Quality Foreman in the Packing Lab. He married Norma Jean Schreiner in 1962, four children were born to this union: Gary, Dale, Linda, and Susan. He retired from United States Gypsum in 1995 after 35 years. Lynn was a faithful member of the Church of Christ all of his life. A man who studied God’s word daily, a quiet man who led by example, and was constantly teaching his family and others about how to live according to God’s plan. The most important things in his life were his faith in Jesus Christ, his family, and his family’s faith in Jesus Christ.
