RUTH LEE ZIEBER was born April 3, 1912. She departed this life on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Seiling Community Hospital at the age of 99 years.

Ruth was raised in the Isabella Community in Major County where she attended school and played on the girls basketball team. She was united in marriage to Muriel Marion Zieber, August 13, 1932 at Taloga. They made their home near Taloga where they farmed and ranched and Ruth worked as a homemaker. She was an accomplished seamstress and she also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and embroidery work. She liked doing craft work and making dolls and sewing clothes for the dolls. Ruth and Muriel were charter members of the Taloga Assembly of God Church. They were both active in the church where Ruth taught Sunday school and children's church.

In 1990, they moved to town where they continued to live. Muriel preceded her in death February 7, 2001 and she continued to make her home in Taloga until her health failed and she moved to the Seiling Nursing Center.

Ruth is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Taloga Assembly of God Church with Pastor Josh Drury, officiating. Interment followed in the Mound Cemetery under the direction of the Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling. Memorials can be made to the Taloga Assembly of God Church.

The funeral for Muriel M. Zieber, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Taloga Assembly of God. Ronald G. Allen and Gene Drain, pastors , will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery at Taloga. Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home , Seiling.

He was born July 10, 1911 at Taloga to Daniel and Mary Ann Heller Zieber and died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 at Seiling Municipal Hospital after a period of ill health.

He moved with the family in 1919 to Ames and graduated from Ames High School. He then attended one year at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Alva.

On Aug. 13, 1932, he married Ruth L. Waggoner at Taloga. They farmed near Taloga. After retirement, they moved into Taloga.

He was a member of Taloga Assembly of God, serving as church secretary and treasurer for more than 50 years. He also served as a trustee and at the time of his death was on the church board.

Surviving are his wife , Ruth of the home; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
