GEORGE L. SEAL

December 05, 1934 - April 13, 2018

George L. Seal, of Seiling was born on December 5, 1934 in Lenora, OK to Albert Edward and Maude (Crusha) Seal. He passed from this life into his heavenly home on April 13, 2018 at the age of 83 years, 4 months, and 8 days.

George was raised and educated in the Seiling area, graduating Seiling High School with the Class of 1953. He then enlisted in the Army, serving honorably before he returned home to run the family farm. On July 13, 1958 George married the love of his life Corene (Shively) Seal in Taloga, OK.

The couple farmed the family land for over 50 years. He was a member of the Oklahoma Royalty Owners and the National Farmers Organization. George also attended the First Christian Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing pitch, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Corene; grandson Geo Joe Yates; and siblings Stanley Seal, Daphne Mings, and Dennis Seal.

He is survived by his four children Greg Seal and wife Pam of Taloga, Teresa Gould and husband Ronnie of Chester, OK, Brenda Yates of Seiling, Annette Hendrix and husband Eddie of Taloga, and adopted son Danny Seal of Seiling; grandchildren Justin Seal and wife Melissa of Seiling, Kristopher Seal of Weatherford, Amanda Thomas and husband Nathan of Blanchard, OK, Wendy Manning and husband Jonathan of Seiling, Travis Gould and wife Nichol of Chester, Susan Yates of Sayre, Jade Yates and fiancé Katie Parks of Taloga, Shelby Yates of Seiling, Jordan Hendrix and fiancé Kaley Wolfgong of Woodward, Samantha Hendrix of Taloga, and Aaron Hendrix of Taloga; twenty great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on SUNDAY April 22, 2018 at the First Christian Church of Seiling with Pastor Dennis Adair presiding. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery in Taloga, OK all under the direction of Redinger Funeral Home.

Memorial Donations in George’s honor may be made to the Mound Cemetery with Redinger Funeral Home (Box 236, Seiling, OK) serving as custodian of the funds.
