The funeral for Corene Seal, 68, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Taloga Christian Church. Pastor Allan Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery . Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling. She was born Nov. 1, 1940, in Taloga to Chester and Virgie Eck Shively and died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Seiling Municipal Hospital.

She was raised and educated in Taloga, graduating with the class of 1958.

She married George Seal July 13, 1958, in Taloga. They made their first home west of Seiling and in the early 1960s moved southwest of Seiling where they raised their children.

She was active in both Seiling and Taloga, working at the Shamrock Café, Jaquith Gifts and T.J. Ruble's Law Office. She was appointed as tag agent in Taloga, a position she held at the time of her death. She also served as secretary/treasurer for Taloga Senior Citizens, treasurer of Dewey County Jailhouse Museum, was active in the "Just For Fun Pitch Club," and was a member of Taloga Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband, George, of the home near Seiling; one son, Greg Seal of Taloga; one adopted son, Danny Geo Seal of the home; three daughters, Teresa Gould of Chester, and Brenda Yates and Annette Hendrix, both of Taloga; two sisters, Amelia Fisher of Hayward, Calif., and Charity Ward of Woodward; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson.
