Irvin Lee Miller
May 23, 1950 ~ June 20, 2019

Irvin Lee Miller was born on May 23, 1950 in Taloga, OK, the fourth of six children to Groff and Irene Miller.

Irvin passed from this life on June 20, 2019 at the age of 69 in Taloga. He graduated from Taloga High School in 1968 and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 1972. Irvin started his career in 1972 in Guymon, OK where he served as Band Director at Guymon Junior High and High School until 1981. In the Fall of 1981, he moved back to his hometown of Taloga and on May 10th 1984, married Cindy Wood of Guymon.

He started work for Delhi Gas Pipeline in 1981 and retired from ONEOK in 2012. After retirement, Irvin and Cindy purchased the Taloga Times-Advocate and operated for 7 years. Two sons were born to this union, Brady Lee and Brent Adam. During that time in Taloga, Irvin served his community on the Taloga School Board for 15 years and attended many, many baseball games.

Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jewel Bowers, and brothers Dutch and Danny Miller. Irvin is survived by wife Cindy Miller of Taloga; son Brady (Desiree) Miller of Pratt, KS; son Brent (Kaci) Miller of Edmond, OK; sister Norma Rice and Brother Curtis (Wynelda) of Goodwell, OK. He is also survived by his precious grandchildren, Rylee Pearl and Luke Adam Miller of Pratt, KS; Max Dean and Kade Adam Miller of Edmond, OK; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Taloga Fire Department.
