ENID - The funeral for John Charles Daily , 90, of Seiling, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Redinger Funeral Home Chapel, Seiling. Pastor Michael Brien will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Taloga.

He was born Nov. 11, 1919, in Clinton to Wilson D. and Ella Christension Daily and died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Seiling Nursing Center.

He attended a one-room school near Clinton through the eighth grade and attended high school in Clinton and graduated from Elk City High School. He entered the Army, serving during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Oklahoma to work in sales for National Steel, Oklahoma City.

He married Vernice Ragan Feb. 25, 1947, in Oklahoma City. He was transferred with National Steel to Coffeyville, Kan., in 1958. They made their home in South Coffeyville. He retired in 1981. In 2007, they moved to Taloga. He was a member of Coffeyville Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Vernice, of Taloga; three sons, Gary Daily and Robert Daily , both of South Coffeyville, and Darrel Daily of Taloga; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
