LANA GALE COX

October 07, 1964 - May 16, 2018

LANA GALE COX, 53, passed into the next life on May 16, 2018 at the Seiling Municipal Hospital in Seiling, Oklahoma.

Lana was born October 7, 1964, in Woodward, Oklahoma, to Joy Lee (Patrick) Cox and Loren Gale Cox. She was a 1982 graduate of Seiling High School.

In marital union with Gary Lee Reed, two children were born, Michelle Lee (Reed) Stephens and Shaun Henry Reed.

Lana was a caring, loving, and kind hearted person. She loved animals and cared for many. She enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and made it a point to call them often. She didn’t know a stranger and looked forward to spending time with friends and family alike. Lana was always willing to help, and she spent many hours with family members caring for them when they were in need. The love that Lana showed in the way she lived her life will be remembered always.

She is survived by her father, Loren Gale Cox and step-mother Amelia of New Cumberland, West Virginia; two brothers, Craig Cox and wife Denesa of New Cumberland, West Virgina and Steven Cox and wife Lana of Seiling, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Paula Cox; daughter Michelle, her husband Dr. Damien Stephens, their daughters River Shawni and Ryken Michelle Stephens of Abilene, Kansas; son, Shaun Reed and Frankie Westover with their daughters Lailah Riley and Gracynn Mae Reed; and many relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Joy Lee Rogers and step-father, Jim and brother, Brett Lynn Cox.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on June 16, 2018 at the Mound Cemetery in Taloga, Oklahoma. Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Lana are invited to celebrate her life at the ROC Center in Seiling after the service.
