CHARLOTTE ANN ANSON, daughter of Orville and Edith (Bennett) Stiles, was born December 1, 1943 at Fairview, Oklahoma. She departed this life on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at her home northwest of Oakwood. She was 68 years of age.
At an early age, Charlotte moved with her family to Cleo Springs were she was raised and educated. She married Richard Johnson in 1962 and they had two daughters, Melody and Patricia. They divorced in 1970. Charlotte began classes at the Woodward Vocational School of Practical Nursing. In 1972, she completed her schooling and received her Licensed Practical Nurse certificate. She worked at the Carmen Nursing Home, Thomas Hospital and Nursing Home and the Seiling Hospital and Nursing Home. She was a devoted and dedicated nurse who showed compassion to her patients. August 7, 1975, Charlotte married Joe Dean Anson and they made their home northwest of Oakwood. Joe preceded her in death September 19, 2002. Charlotte enjoyed occupying her time by sewing, crocheting and embroidery work, as well as, her regular farm chores.
She accepted Christ as her Savior in 1961.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Widney and husband Jerry of Oakwood, one sister, Janie Nightingale and husband Julian of Cleo Springs, seven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded by her parents, her daughter Melody Jones, April 21, 2007, four sisters: Mary Cyrena Stiles, Florence Deloris Stiles Francis, Emma Sue Stiles Barnes, and Peggy Stiles Ent and two brothers Orvill Edgar Stiles and Jim Stiles.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Orville White, officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Robe Cemetery directed by the Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling.
