Jeffrey Dwayne Berry, 43-year-old resident of Putnam, OK, passed from this life on September 9, 2016 in Putnam. Jeff was born September 9, 1973 to George and Carolyn (Calico) Berry in Thomas, OK. He grew up in the Taloga area and attended Taloga Public Schools where he graduated with the class of 1991. After graduating from Taloga, Jeff attended Conner State College.

Jeff lived in the Putnam area all his life and worked as an equine trainer. Jeff loved horses. He was a member of the National Cutting Horse Association and American Quarter Horse Association. Jeff loved to attend and watch rodeos. In FFA he had the distinguished honor to receive the Green Hand Degree, Chapter Farmer Degree, and FFA State Farmer Degree. Jeff won numerous awards showing his pigs and winning Reserve Breed Champion Spot at the Oklahoma Youth Expo was one of his proudest moments. He also enjoyed playing Dominoes with his family and friends. Jeff will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Jeff is preceded in death by his father George Berry; grandparents George Sr. and Wanetta Berry; grandparents Loy and Carrie Calico.

He is survived by his son Jeffrey Wayne of Waynoka, OK; daughter Julie Boeckman and husband Dustin of Oakwood, OK; his mother Carolyn Berry of Putnam, OK; four sisters Sherry Thompson and husband Fred of Yukon, OK, Cindy Farris of Weimar, TX, Vickie King and husband Stacy of Putnam, OK, Georgi Retter of Yukon, OK; two grandchildren Dayson and Kainin Boeckman; five nieces Rikki Thomas, Nikki Fortenberry, Evan Lee, Melissa White, and Katie Retter; four nephews Cody Thomas, Tanner Farris, Kollin Retter, and Kelby Reed; four great nieces, three nephews, special friend Royce (Cap) White, and many, many extended family and friends.
