The funeral for Betty Jean Adair – Delozier, 81, of Seiing, will be 1:30 PM Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at First Christian Church, Seiling. Orville White, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, near Putnam. Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling.
She was born May 15, 1927, at Port to Charles Fitzgerald and Minnie Pearl Morrow Sullivan and died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Ctr., Enid.
She graduated from Putnam High School in 1945. She married Elvin Wesley "Jack" Adair April 16, 1946, at Wheeler, Texas. They made their home in Clinton and later moved to Putnam. She worked as a nurse aide at Clinton Regional Hospital, and later worked for both Tom Ruble and TJ Ruble in their law office in Taloga. After her husband died in 1973, she worked as a rural mail carrier in the Putnam area. She transferred to the Seiling Post Office and was given the Chester and a portion of the Seiling rural routes. She was an Oklahoma delegate to the National Postal Convention numerous times. She retired in June 2007. She married John Delozier February 11, 1977, in Putnam. They made their home in Seiling. He died September 15, 1996. She was a member of Pentecostal Church of God, Putnam.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis Adair of Seiling and Darrell Adair of Putnam; one brother, Joe Sullivan of Weatherford; two sisters, Callie Beers of Putnam and Dorothy Owens of Marysville, California; and four grandchildren.
In addition to both husbands, she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
