LaMona Irene (Crail) Zelle of Vici, Oklahoma, passed from this life November 15, 2014, at 80 years of age. She was born July 10, 1934, to John William and Dorthy (Wofford) Crail in Dewey County, Oklahoma. LaMona graduated from High School with the class of 1952 at Camargo, Oklahoma. She accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior on May 17, 1953, at the Methodist Church in Camargo. LaMona married Benny Vance Zelle March 19, 1954, in Clayton, New Mexico. The couple made their home in Camargo, OK, El Reno, OK, Mulvane, KS, Pampa, TX, and Hoisington, KS, before settling on the Crail home place in Ellis County. Three children were born to Benny and LaMona: Kerma, Wanda and Bret. LaMona worked as a file clerk and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, canning all her garden goodies, camping, and fishing. The joy of her life was watching her kids and grandkids in their school sporting and musical events.
LaMona was preceded in death by her parents John and Dorthy Crail and a brother Calvin C. Crail.
She is survived by her husband Benny of the home in Arnett; daughters Kerma Flores and husband Rudy of Harper, KS, and Wanda Smith and husband Kirk of Pawnee Rock, KS; son Bret Zelle and wife Judy of Magnolia, AR; six grandchildren, Calvin, Bryan, Shelly, Amy, Kelly, Matt; six great-grandchildren, Alexis, Chloe, Landry, Brody, Oakley, Andee; two nieces, Kay and Nelda as well as other family and a host of friends.
Memorials may be made to the Camargo Community Center.
