Melvin Roy Spencer

June 21, 1937 ~ March 27, 2019

Melvin Roy Spencer, 81 year old resident of Vici, OK. passed from this life at the Seiling Municipal Hospital, Seiling, OK. on March 27, 2019. He was born June 21, 1937 in Douglas, Az. to Roy Maxwell and Florence Bailey Spencer. He attended school at Wilcox, AZ. until 1954 then moved to Camargo, OK. to live with his cousin, Emery Fairchild and his wife Vila. He completed his education at Camargo High School graduating with the class of 1958.

Melvin was united in marriage at Miami, OK. to Mildred Irene Edwards and two daughters, Tammie and Angela were born to this union. He later married Dianna Trubee while residing in CA.

He was employed at a cotton mill in Phoenix, AZ. and various jobs while living in CA. and in the Vici, OK. community. He attended the South Persimmon Baptist church and the Assembly of God church and was a member of the Vici Lions Club. Melvin's favorite pastime hobbies included fishing, dancing and leatherwork.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, a brother, Marion Spencer and a niece, Sandy Ann Spencer.

Survivors include his daughters, Tammie Sterling of Purcell, OK and Angela Finzer of Nebraska; sister, Connie Darlene Hall of Springdale, AR; two brothers, Marvin Spencer of Apache Junction, AZ and Meryl Edgar Spencer of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
