Iris Corinne Shepherd Fairchild

Iris Corinne Fairchild, 73 year old Camargo, OK resident, passed from this life on October 3, 2014 in Woodward, OK. Iris was born August 23, 1941 to John Russell and Pauline Ruby (McClure) Shepherd in Hugoton, KS. Iris attended Hugoton Public Schools graduating from Hugoton High School. Iris then went to Beauty School and became a Beautician. A young school teacher moved to Hugoton from Western Oklahoma, Charles Fairchild. The two began dating and on May 26, 1962 were married in Hugoton. The couple was blessed with three boys, Steve, Greg and Scot. They made their home in Moscow, KS before moving to Camargo, OK in 1971. Iris worked hard as a beautician and Charles continued his carrier in education. In 1978 Iris was baptized and became a member of the First Christian Church in Camargo.

Iris was preceded in death by her grandparents, Guy and Pearl McClure, parents, John and Pauline Shepherd, brother Johnny Shepherd and sister Nancy Forsythe.

She is survived by husband, Charles Fairchild of the home in Camargo, OK; son’s, Steve Fairchild of Gunter, TX, Greg Fairchild of Camargo, OK and Scot Fairchild and wife LaNyska of Leedey, OK; sister Martha Arange of Hugoton, KS; brother Paul Shepherd of Seattle, WA; 7 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Tuesday October 7th
Iris Fairchild -- 11:00 a.m.
Graveside services will be held at the Camargo Cemetery west of Camargo, OK.
Viewing: Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Monday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Viewing is at Vici.
