Funeral Services for Robert Young will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, in the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Paul Thomas from Columbus, Georgia, officiating. Burial will follow in the Brumfield Cemetery in Seiling. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Robert was born May 3, 1929, in Fairfax to William and Clara (Thomas) Young and passed away June 15, 2022.
Bobby worked as a caddy at Fairfax Golf Course from age 9 to 13. From age 13 to 41 he was working either as a farm hand or in the oilfields as a roughneck/driller. From 1970-1993 he was a Golf Course Superintendent in Enid or Lubbock, Texas. From 1993-2010 he was a Superintendent Consultant for multiple golf courses.
Robert is survived by his children, BillyRay Young and his wife Linda, Patsy Smart and her husband Dean and Bobby Young and his wife Pam; 8 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Betty Cutler.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy Jo Young; wife, Lee Derrick Young; and daughter Bobette Aldridge.
