The funeral for Susie Marie Winters, 93, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at Seiling Assembly of God Church. Pastors Gwen Rutz and Orville White will officiate. Burial will be in Brumfield Cemetery . Ar-rangements are by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling.
She was born July 30, 1916, southwest of Seiling in Dewey County to Charles Ray and Maud May Hillebran Gleason and died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at Seiling Municipal Hospital.
She was raised on the family farm and attended Seiling school.
She married Fred Vermont Winters Aug. 5, 1934, at her parent's home. They made their first home west of Seiling, later moving to Chester. He died Dec. 15, 1994.
She worked as a waitress at Seiling Livestock Auction Café and Hurt's Dairy Boy. She also worked at the Chester Coffee Shop. She was a member of Seiling Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Gynith Hurt of Chester; one brother, Lee Gleason of Clinton; one sister, Leta Olson of Pampa, Texas; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Fred, she was preceded in death by two brothers and seven sisters.
