After graduating from Panhandle State College, Marvin worked in Taloga for a while and then at Ft. Reno Experiment Station for three years before moving his family to Barnesville, GA in 1959. In Barnesville Marvin ran a cattle operation at Sugar Hill Farm until he retired in 1996. After losing Elizabeth in 2001, Marvin decided he wanted to return to Oklahoma. He and his daughter moved to Stillwater, OK in August of 2006.
