MYRTLE ESTHER "DODY" WEBSTER, was born June 10, 1925 at Sioux City, Iowa, one of six children born to Alva Edwin and Ida Rebecca (Knepper) Perry. She departed this life late Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Seiling Community Hospital at the age of 87 years. Dody was raised in Iowa where she attended school. She met a young U. S. Army Air Corp sergeant who was stationed in Iowa by the name of Leroy Webster. Leroy brought Dody to Oklahoma to be married December 31, 1945 at Cherokee. They made their home near Chester in Major County since where they raised their two daughters, Cathy Suzanne and Gayla Diane. Dody and Leroy were active members of the First Christian Church. She was a homemaker for her family and she liked sewing for herself and her daughters. She and Leroy enjoyed traveling to the Colorado mountains in their RV where they liked to camp. They also enjoyed traveling to many other places.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Webster of Chester, two daughters, Cathy Conrady and husband Larry of Enid and Gayla Goodman and husband Leroy of Chester, five grandchildren: Douglas Conrady and wife Wendi, Brent Conrady and wife Cheryl, Amberly Durfield and husband Timothy, Allison Goodman, Annie Park and husband Geoff; three great grandchildren: Thomas and Kelby Conrady and Bennett Park, one brother, Bud Perry of Sioux City, Iowa, besides many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 in the Brumfield Cemetery at Seiling with Pastor Orville White, officiating. Memorials can be made to the Seiling-Chester Center for Senior Citizens with the Redinger Funeral Home-Box 236-Seiling, OK 73663 serving as custodian of the funds.
