Josephine M. Bromlow Ward

The funeral for Josephine M. Ward, 91, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Seiling Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Orville White will officiate. Burial will be in Brumfield Cemetery. Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling.

She was born Feb. 7, 1918, in McMillan to James and Mittie Smith Bromlow and died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, in Yukon.

She married Guy Benjamin Ward Oct. 14, 1936, in Fairview. They made their home east of Seiling. He died March 5, 1991.

She was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of Seiling Assembly of God Church, where she served as church treasurer.

Surviving are one son, Frank Ward of Yukon; two daughters, Wilma Magness of Geary and Velma Weems of Yukon; eight sisters, Eva Bell and Dolly Blair, both of Burley, Idaho, Lillie Edwards of Wichita, Kan., Opal Denton and Doris Patterson, both of Longdale, Lucille Fields of Terrebonne, Ore., Amy Conley of Petrolia, Texas, and Iva Horton of Seligman, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Guy, she was preceded in death by one sister, one brother, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Area Medical Foundation or Brumfield Cemetery.
