William Henry "Bill" Pittman, Jr.
February 18, 1933 ~ October 28, 2018

William "Bill" Henry Pittman, Jr., was born on February 18, 1933, to William H. and Kitty Pittman at his parents' home in Seiling, Oklahoma. He died on October 28, 2018, at the age of 85 years, 8 months, and 10 days. His grandparents were William L. Pittman and Florence (Black) Pittman and Solomon J. Woodring and Nettie (Heaton) Woodring.

Bill Jr. grew up in Seiling, attending and graduating Seiling High School with the Class of 1951. He graduated from Oklahoma A&M College, now Oklahoma State University, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, in 1955. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He then entered the United States Air Force as a pilot and was honorably discharged after serving three years.

Bill Jr. moved to Texas in 1962 and remained there for 17 years, working in banking and insurance. He returned home in 1979 to work with his father and brother, Jim Pittman, at the First National Bank, now Seiling State Bank.

He became an active member of the First Christian Church at an early age and had been active on various committees and was an elder of the church. He was a member of the Seiling Masonic Lodge #495 and had served as worshipful master.

Bill Jr. was an avid traveler. His hobbies and interests included photography, bridge, golf, and tennis. Besides being an officer at the bank, he was a board member of the Seiling-Chester Senior Citizens Center. He was also a member of the Seiling Lions Club and served as president and secretary for many years.

He is survived by his brother, Jim Pittman and wife Lynda of Seiling; two nephews, Kirk Pittman and wife Charlotte and David Pittman; two nieces, Shantel Pittman and Rhonda Unser and husband Mike. He is also survived by great-nephews and great-nieces: Brock Pittman, Veronique Pittman, Jackson Pittman, Ava Pittman, and Samuel Pittman.

Funeral Service will be held at the First Christian Church of Seiling at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Burial will follow at Brumfield Cemetery under the direction of Redinger Funeral Home.

Memorial Donations in Bill's honor may be made to the Area Medical Foundation in care of Redinger Funeral Home (Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663).
