BETTY IRENE HARRIS oldest of two daughters born to Henry Teller and Elizabeth Ann (Marks) Guffy, was born December 16, 1930. She departed this life on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Grace Living Center in Woodward at the age of 80.

Betty was raised and educated at Seiling where she attended Seiling School. She was united in marriage to Herbert Hadley Harris January 22, 1955. They had two children: Herbert Daniel and Kathy Dianne. Herb and Betty made their home in Seiling where she cared for the elderly in their homes and she worked as a cook in area cafe's including the Shamrock Cafe. She was well known for her wonderful cooking abilities. She was preceded in death by her husband July 10, 1973. She remained act

She is survived by six grandchildren: Shawn Harris and wife Carrie and Richard Harris and wife Laura both of Woodward, Angela VanHooser and husband Kelly, Tracy Kraus and husband Randy both of Woodward, Brian and Lance Riggs both of Beaver; ten great grandchildren, two nieces, Karen Fox of Mooreland and Sandy Clendenny of Seiling. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Kathy Riggs in 2005, her son Danny in 2009, one infant great grandson, Thatcher Dean VanHooser and her sister, Wilma Mullaley.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Orville White, officiating. Interment will follow in the Brumfield Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Brumfield Cemetery with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds. Condolence messages can be sent to www.redingerfuneralhome.com
