She was born Corrine May Moler, on August the 11th 1933, but her life began when she was 4 years old when she became Betty Jo Chapman, she was adopted by Cora and Amos Chapman, Jr. Her life changed so very much. Later she had an adoptive brother, his name was Laverne.

She graduated from Garden Vale School from the eighth grade. Then she attended Seiling High School where she graduated in 1951. She married Willis Galbreath the same year. They moved to Enid, OK. To this union was born two children, Shirley and David Galbreath.

During her children’s school years she was Home Room Mother, Cub Scout Mother, Blue Bird Mother, and any other activities that her children was involved in. She was so proud to be a mother. She attended all their open houses and all activities that her children were involved in.

On February 13th, 1971 she became the wife of Dean Dorsett and the mother of Rhonda and Lisa Dorsett. She was so very proud of her new family.

She worked at St. Mary Hospital and later at Bass Hospital. Until her daughter Lisa became sick with brain cancer. She spent her life after that doing everything she could to help her daughter to get well, but on January 16, 1979 her daughter lost her battle with brain cancer.

In February, 1979 after the loss of their daughter Lisa, she and her husband Dean moved back to Chester, the home place where she was raised as a child. They have resided there ever since.

She was baptized and joined the First Christian Church in Seiling, OK at an early age. Later moved her membership to the Central Christian Church in Enid, OK. When she moved back to Chester, OK she returned her membership to the First Christian Church in Seiling, OK where she remains a member.

She was a member of the Seiling Round Up Club and worked in the concession stand during the rodeos, she was an active member of the Chester Historical Society, the Chester Community Club where she held the office of Chaplain. She was a member of the Dewey County Home Betterment Club where once every month she and her dog Sheba helped entertain the patients at the Seiling Nursing Home. She also worked in the concession stand during the Stock Show and the Dewey County Fair. After the death of her good friend Verla Severn, she took over the weekly Bible Study. They met in her home each Wednesday morning.

Her hobbies were all kinds of crafts and her favorite holiday was Christmas when all her family would be together. No matter how many there were there to sleep over, she would gather the pillows and the covers and leave the rest for her guest to find a place to sleep. All she wanted was for all of her family to be together.

In 1999 she and Dean became host parents to an exchange boy Olsi Halili from Albania. He finished his senior year at Seiling High School and went on to graduate from UCO at Edmond, OK and now is married and lives in Michigan. He is like a son to them. After that they hosted a girl Maria Nikolova from Bulgaria which attended UCO at Edmond OK, and now is married and still lives in Edmond. They kept in touch with both of them.

She is survived by her loving husband Dean of Chester. Two daughters, Shirley Lanham and husband Larry of Arcadia, OK, Rhonda Gray and husband Bob of Bartlesville, OK, one son David Galbreath and wife Valerie of Kansas. 9 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Also two exchange children Olsi Halili and wife Ilda, Maria Azary and husband Greg.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Lisa and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 19, at 1:30 PM at the First Christian Church in Seiling with burial to follow at Brumfield Cemetery.
