OTIS E. DONLEY

17 Jan 1908 - 20 Feb 1987

CHESTER - Services for Otis E. Donley, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Elm Grove Church with the Rev. Orville White officiating. Burial will be in the Brumfield Cemetery, directed by Redinger Funeral Home of Seiling.

Donley died Friday in his home north of Chester after a long illness. He was born in the Cestos community on Jan. 17, 1908, to Willard and Ella Bea Donley, and attended schools there.

He and Elon Melhuish were married Dec. 20, 1933, in Woodward. They made their home north of Cestos in the Bloomfield community until moving to a farm north of Chester in 1937, where he had since lived.

Donley was engaged in farming and ranching and also worked for Major County for 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Elon, of the home; two sons, Mason, Cheerokee and Elvin, Chester; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Irene Myers, Woodward and Frances Smith of Gage. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
