KAREN KAY COOLEY

December 31, 1941 - June 13, 2018

Karen Kay Cooley, of Seiling, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the age of 76. She was born to Robert and Alma Ruth (Murry) Williamson on December 31, 1941 in Anthony, KS. Karen attended school in Seiling, graduating high school with the Class of 1960. She worked as a bank teller for the Seiling State Bank, and was also a board member of the Area Medical Foundation and the Seiling Nursing Home. Karen was a member of the Richmond Country Church. In her spare time she enjoyed painting and crafting. Her work can still be seen above the baptistery at the Mutual Christian Church. Karen was also an OKC Thunder fanatic. She especially liked spending time with her family, and going to their school and sporting events.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruth Williamson, as well as a sister Mary Lou Corr.

Left to carry on her legacy are her three children, Ronda Brien and husband Michael of Seiling, OK, Sonya McDonald and husband Tom of Seiling, and Kyle Cooley and wife Nacrista of Arnett; twelve grandchildren, Jeremiah Hopper and wife Cyndi of Amarillo, TX; Jennifer Alton and husband Andy of Seiling, OK, Jess Hopper of Stillwater, OK, Julie Geddes of Seiling, Jamie Brien and fiancé Derek of Reno, NV, Erika Lainson of Seiling, Hannah Paulus and husband Bruce of Coweta, OK, Lacey Duffy of Seiling, Lindsey Eulberg and husband Nick of Enid, OK, Zach McDonald of Seiling, Jordan McDonald and wife Kjelcea of Taloga, OK, and Nikole Cooley and fiancé Austin Gray of Woodward, OK; 17 great grandchildren with two more on the way; sister Janice Hollensbe and husband Dean of Picayune, MS; two brothers, Larry Williamson and wife Arlene of Ponca City, OK, and Neil Williamson and wife Pam of Las Cruces, NM, as well has numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services for Karen will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday June 18, 2018 at the Elm Grove Community Church in Chester, OK. Burial will follow at Brumfield Cemetery.

Memorial Donations in Karen’s honor may be made to the Area Medical Foundation with Redinger Funeral Home (Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663) serving as custodian of the funds.
