Arlan Brian “Arlie” Clinesmith was born on May 10, 1955 to Leonard and June (Perry) Clinesmith. Arlan passed from this life on December 17, 2020 at the age of 65 years, 7 months, and 7 days.
Arlan grew up in the Seiling and Oakwood areas and graduated from Seiling High School in 1973. In 1982 Arlan was united in marriage to Leilani Jackson. This union was blessed with a daughter, Hillary. Arlan was later blessed with another daughter, Jessica. He also considered his step-daughter Sheena Greyson his own.
Arlan was employed in the oil industry and followed the oilfield from Oakwood to Elk City, to California, to Oklahoma City and finally Austin, TX.
When Arlan was younger he loved fishing and hunting and the great outdoors. He was a Christian and prayed often. He also loved telling jokes and funny stories. Even later, when he was really sick, he was laughing and telling jokes. He firmly believed Carol Baskin killed her husband.
Arlan is preceded in death by his mother, June Clinesmith, and brother Ronnie Clinesmith both of Seiling, OK.
He is survived by his daughters Hillary Massey and husband Guy of Kingston, OK, Jessica Lynes and fiancé Josh of Austin, TX, and Sheena Greyson of Oklahoma City; his father, Leonard Clinesmith of Perkins, OK. He also leaves behind siblings Jo Lynn Wilson and husband Dale of Seiling, OK, Lisa Clinesmith of Perkins, OK, Mike Clinesmith and wife Debbie of Perkins, OK, Lea Anne Clayton of Fayetteville, AR; many grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel.
