ENID - The funeral for Norma Jean Buffalomeat, 75, of Seiling, will be 2 p.m. today at Seiling Indian Baptist Church. Pastor Gerald Panana will officiate. Burial will be in Brumfield Cemetery . Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling.
She was born April 11, 1935, near Fonda, a twin to Dana and Mary May Debrae Black and died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at her home. She was raised east of Seiling and attended Pumpkin Ridge School.
She married Raymond Gene Buffalomeat in 1956 in Kingfisher, where they made their home before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio. They later moved to Dallas and then to Seiling in 1973. He died Feb. 13, 2003.
She worked in the custodial and maintenance department at Seiling Public Schools, retiring after 24 years. She was a charter member of Indian Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Rowena Beaver, Dana Buffalomeat, Susie Wolfmule and Jo Borunda, all of Seiling; one son, Burl Buffalomeat of Seiling; her twin sister, Norma Joan Smith, and sister, Rita Black, both of Seiling; one brother, Larry Black of Watonga; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Raymond, she was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
