ENID - The funeral for Bruce Lee Bensch, 56, of Chester , will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Seiling School Auditorium. Pastors Dennis Adair and Orville White will officiate. Burial will be in Brumfield Cemetery . Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling.

He was born Sept. 26, 1953, in Medicine Lodge, Kan., to Jack Dempsey and Wilma Jean Strecker Bensch and died Sunday, April 25, 2010, north of Putnam.

He attended school in Medicine Lodge before moving to Waukegan, Ill., with his family. They moved to Seiling in the 1960s, where he attended Lakeside and Seiling schools, graduating from Seiling High School in 1971.

He married Sheri Sharp May 25, 1973. He later married Donna Champ Seidel Sept. 21, 1979, in Seiling. They made their home southeast of Chester .

He worked for ONEOK as a cathodic protection technician at the time of his death. He served on the Seiling School Board and was a member of First Christian Church, Seiling.

Surviving are his wife, Donna, of Chester ; three sons, Jonny Bensch of Yukon, Ryan Bensch of Wichita, Kan., and Chad Bensch of Chester ; one brother, Barry Bensch of Chester ; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one stepson.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, P.O. Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663, to Brumfield Cemetery or Chester Historical Society building fund.
