JANET MARIE ARCHER, daughter of Thomas Benjamin and Mildred Asteria (Schmucker) Lincoln, was born December 3, 1934 in San Diego, California. She departed this life early Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Seiling Hospital, Seiling, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years.

Janet was raised and educated in Riverside, Descanso and Escondido, California where she graduated from high school. She met Kenneth Archer who was a US Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. They were married June 20, 1953 in Yuma, Arizona. Following the Korean War and Kenneth’s honorable discharge, they moved to Seiling where they continued to make their home and raise their three children: Nancy, J.B. and Bret.

Janet enjoyed being a farmer’s wife and often rode with Kenneth in his trucking/hay hauling business. Together, they raised Registered Texas Longhorns and built a large herd which she lovingly cared for and raised like pets. She enjoyed her dogs and cats and she had a real passion for animals of all kind.

Janet and Kenneth were faithful members of the Seiling Friends Church.

Janet is survived by her husband Kenneth Archer and two sons, J. B. Archer and Bret Archer, four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; her brother, Gene Lincoln of Delta, Colorado, one niece and two nephews besides many other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law and caregiver, Debbie Archer. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Nancy Jean Cantrell, October 3, 1977.

A Celebration of Life for Janet will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Orville White presiding. Burial is to follow at Brumfield Cemetery.
