Norma Jean Swogger, Zena resident, died early Friday morning July 1, 2011 at Integris Grove hospital at the age of 75 years.
Norma was born on August 27, 1935 in Picher, Oklahoma to her parents Ernest Edgar and Nadine Christal (Raney) Hodge.
Norma married Charles Keith Swogger on December 13, 1907 at the First Baptist Church in Grove. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) in Miami and Grove and was also a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles.
Norma leaves many loving memories with her family, Sandra and Tim Love, Charlie Swogger and wife Dee, Jeannie Hetherington, and James Hetherington and wife Monika; grandchildren, Tim Love, Charles J. Swogger, Christal Lloyd, Amelia Love, Maggie Love, Dakota Swogger, Aaron Mulleneaux, DJ Mulleneaux, Rayman Whiteturkey, Reminton Whiteturkey, Ashock and wife Niha, Bablu and wife Preeti, and Badri; great-grandchild, Monika; a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday July 5, 2011 at Zena Baptist Church, with Pastor Rick Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Zena Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Dakota (Tuff) Swogger, Reminton Whiteturkey, Stoney Crowder, Kyle Butler, Wes Davenport, and Ron Springer.
