OBIT: Last Sunday while the family was at dinner it was noticed that Mr. Rowe had died while eating his dinner. He had apparently been in good health and spirits during the morning and his death came as a great shock to his family and friends. George W. Rowe was born in Green County Tennessee, 06 March 1838, and departed this life 29 Aug 1926 at his home in Foss Oklahoma. He was united in marriage with Cynthia Ann Salyer 16 Dec 1864, at Salyersville, Kentucky; to this union one son was born, J. E. Rowe, of Foss, Oklahoma. Mr. Rowe moved with his family to Texas in 1887, came to Custer county in 1892 and for the past 8 years had been a resident of Foss. He united with the Church of Christ 27 years ago. Funeral services were conducted at the Legion Hall Tuesday morning by Ira Brumfield after which interment was made in Parkersburg Cemetery.
