Life Legacy


Lydia Godfrey went to be with her heavenly father on February 22, 2012 in Stillwater, OK. The daughter of John and Dorothy Wolf, she was born on September 13, 1926 in Bessie, OK. She was the devoted wife of and is survived by her husband LeRoy Godfrey; daughter Terri King, son Mike Godfrey, granddaughter Channing King, Sisters Dorothy Boulton, Betty Goss, Martha Kelley, and brothers Emanuel Wolf and Richard Wolf. She will be met at the Lord’s gates by her sister Marie Georinger. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She faithfully read her Bible everyday of her life; she also enjoyed fishing with her husband and sewing with her church group. She was unequivocally devoted to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Lutheran, and friend to all she came in contact with.

“What the seed is to that flower, Jesus Christ is to my soul.”

Mom/Grandma, you will forever live in our hearts and minds. Thank you for being you…..

Visitation will be held on Mon., Feb. 27, from 8 am-8 pm at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Tues., Feb. 28 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. Graveside services will be held at Parkersburg Cemetery in Clinton, OK. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 101 S. Duck, Stillwater, OK, 74074.
