Funeral Services for Mary M. Edwards , 62, Durant resident and former Butler resident will be held 2 p.m., Monday, June 21, 2010 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Patrick Peters, minister of the Church of Christ, and burial will conclude in the Osceola Cemetery North of Butler, Oklahoma.
Mary Maebelle Edwards was born December 3, 1947 to Louis and Mary Isabelle (Nessmith) Weeks in Phoenix, AZ and passed away early Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in the Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Mary has made her home in Texas, Arkansas, California, and Germany; and moved to Butler in 1990 and 1991 and for the past 5 1/2 years she has made her home in Durant. She was married to Haskell D. Edwards January 15, 1966 in Nevada. She enjoyed Crocheting, Beading and Fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Kay Hiltack, Letha Edwards and two brothers, Clyde Weeks and Doug Weeks.
She is survived by a companion, Charles Riley, Kingston, OK and a daughter, Barbara Cradduck, Durant and two sons, John Edwards , Durant and Gerald Newcomb, Woodland, CA; two brothers, Hubert Weeks and David Weeks, both from California and Dean Weeks, Idabel, OK. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
