Memorial for Margaret Ann Vaughn

Margaret (Tone) Vaughn, 71, of Perry, OK passed from this life on August 8, 2014. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perry and services will be held at a later date.

Margaret (Tone) Vaughn was born on August 15, 1942 to Jackson and Edith (Bradley) Tone. She was a loving mother who always put other?s needs before her own. She loved sharing life experiences with them, especially dancing. She taught them both all kinds of dances, from swing dancing to two-stepping. Margaret enjoyed helping others; so much that she became an LPN and worked for the Thomas Nursing Home. She did love helping others, but she did make sure that everything was done and done right, which earned her the name of ?Marge in Charge? around the Thomas Nursing Center. Margaret?s true passion was her family, and being a grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and foster grandchildren. She also loved spending time with the youth of the community. Margaret will be missed by many, but never forgotten.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Harold James Vaughn; parents, Jackson and Edith (Bradley) Tone; one sister, Nina Cook; one brother, Tom Tone.

She is survived by one daughter, Diana Millsap and husband, Charles of Lucien; one son, Tony Vaughn and wife, Angie of Cushing; two brothers, Jim Tone of Florida and Junior Jackson Tone of Cardington, Ohio; three grandchildren, Maria Jefferson, Melissa Sherman, and Christy Davis; and 9 great grandchildren.

Donations can be made in Margaret?s name to St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TX 38105.

Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.perrycares.com.
